State of the media in Ghana, 1994-1995: Proceedings of a conference organized by the Ghana Journalists Association and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Ghana Office from 8th to 10th August, 1995
This book is divided into nine sections. Section 1 basically covers the remarks made at the opening ceremony of the conference. Section 2 gives an overview of the media since the first review seminar at Sunyani. Section 3 looks at the problems and prospects of the media while Section 4 examines economic constraints in the media. Challenges of private broadcasting which is new on the Ghanaian scene is examined in Section 5 while the issue of Government-Press relations is examined in Section 6. Women in the media is the theme in Section 7 while the public forum which also afforded political parties the opportunity to express their perception of the work of the media is captured in Section 8. The last section is an epilogue and covers remarks by FES and GJA representatives at the public forum. (DÜI-Hff)
